Last time that my high school bestfriend and I met, she mentioned something about the Make A Wish foundation and how I could also join and be a volunteer. Just recently, she initiated a toy drive and asked for some help. I posted this poster I made in the office and asked for my colleagues help. Up to this day, the drive is ongoing.
I found a strategy on how to get more toys for the kids. Second part of toy buying could be tomorrow, Cainta’s fiesta which traditionally entails tiangge. As a friend, advised, I could buy toys here per three pieces for Php100 instead of Php50 per toy. That sounds good to me. One of the bosses actually thought to make the toy drive a corporate event but I guess we are pressed for time. If only for the press release for the company, I can definitely make arrangements. Best and I were former student journalists.
I hope this becomes successful. It feels good to help, really. I'm also glad I can use writing for something else besides myself.
